Theological Education in Angola

Africa Angola Education Theological Education Long Term

Many have come to a saving faith in Christ in Angola, but a lack of biblical leadership puts a limit on the church's ability to grow and flourish, meaning that unreached people still remain in this predominantly Christian nation. The shortage of trained, godly leadership is the most critical problem limiting church growth and maturity. The results have produced many leadership struggles and divisions. For years, little formal training was given, but now there are seven Bible schools and four seminaries.

Avant is partnering with Instituto Superior de Teologia Evangelica do Lubango (ISTEL) to provide solid biblical training and theological education to faith leaders in Lubango, the capital city of Angola. Our vision is that as we assist in raising up leaders with a foundation of biblical truth, the church in Angola will be able to thrive and multiply to those left without access to the gospel.

We are looking for professors and teachers with the necessary education and training to invest in the next generation of Angolan Bible teachers. Will you be a part of building up God's kingdom through theological education in this country?
